Molly was raised and born in Pennsylvania. Molly began her professional life when she was thirteen, at Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. In the Arden Theater production of Into the Woods in 2002, she was awarded a Barrymore Award for playing Little Red Ridinghood. This role she performed again when making her Broadway debut at 15 in the production of Into the Woods, on Broadway. Molly was recognized as a Drama League Award. Molly was also part of the Broadway revival Fiddler on the Roof, in 2004. After that, she went to Princeton University and was a part of Princeton's Triangle Club. She graduated with a bachelor's degree 2008. In this period when she made her feature film debut in Disney's College Road Trip as Wendy Greenhut.
